3.1.2.4. Police Stations

(1) A police station with detention quarters is permitted to be classified as a Group B, Division 2 major occupancyprovided the station is not more than 1 storey in building height and 600 m2 in building area.

In Plain Language

This clause allows a police station with detention quarters to be classified under the less restrictive Group B, Division 2 (care and treatment) rather than Division 1 (detention), but only if the station is no more than 1 storey in building height and no larger than 600 m² in building area.
