The Ontario Building Code | Protection from Freezing
3.2.5.18. Protection from Freezing
(1) Equipment forming part of a fire protection system shall be protected from freezing if,
(a) it could be adversely affected by freezing temperatures, and
(b) it is located in an unheated area.
In Plain Language
This clause addresses requirements for firefighting access on sites with more than one building, ensuring each building on a multi-building site has adequate independent access rather than relying on a single shared route that might not reach every structure.
