The Ontario Building Code | Safety Glass
3.7.4.11. Safety glass
(1) glass, other than safety glass, shall not be used for a shower or bathtub enclosure.
In Plain Language
Glass used for a shower or bathtub enclosure must be safety glass rather than ordinary glass, reducing injury risk if the enclosure breaks in a wet, slip-prone area.
