The Ontario Building Code | Concealed Overflows

7.2.2.4. Concealed Overflows

(1) A dishwashing sink and a food preparation sink shall not have concealed overflows.

In Plain Language

A dishwashing sink and a food preparation sink can't have concealed overflows, since a hidden overflow passage in a food-handling fixture can harbour bacteria and contamination that's difficult to clean.
