In this Division, “prefabricated building” means any building all of whose sections or panels are manufactured.

A prefabricated building must not be sold, rented, exchanged or acquired, unless it has been certified to Standard CAN/CSA-A277, “Procedure for Factory Certification of Buildings”, published by the Canadian Standards Association.

Every prefabricated building manufactured by a plant that has received certification by a certification organization accredited by the Standards Council of Canada and whose certification seal or label attests to compliance with Standard CAN/CSA-A277, “Procedure for Factory Certification of Buildings”, is deemed to be certified.
