The Ontario Building Code | Doors as a Means of Egress

9.10.13.4. doors as a Means of Egress

(1) doors forming part of an exit or a public means of egress shall conform to Subsection 9.9.6. in addition to this Subsection.

In Plain Language

Doors serving as closures must also meet the means-of-egress requirements set out in this article, since a fire door often does double duty as part of the escape route.
