3.7.5.1. Electrical Systems
(1) In anaesthetizing locations, electrical systems shall be designed, constructed, installed and tested in conformance with CSA Z32, "Electrical Safety and Essential Electrical Systems in Health Care Facilities".
In Plain Language
Electrical systems in anaesthetizing locations (like operating rooms) must be designed, installed, and tested in conformance with the CSA Z32 standard for electrical safety in health care facilities, given the heightened risk around flammable anaesthetic gases and sensitive equipment.
